Sete livros, o oitavo filme quase pronto e todo mundo pensou que uma das franquias de maior sucesso de todos os tempos estava chegando ao fim.
Mas a autora J. K. Rowling anunciou o novo passo transmídia de Harry Potter: o portal Pottermore.
A princípio vai ser um espaço onde novos elementos serão revelados e acrescentados ao universo do bruxo mais pop do planeta. E se o Paulo Coelho pretende retomar este posto (o que eu acho difícil) é bom ele prestar atenção na fala da autora no vídeo abaixo.
Pottermore é uma online reading experience com adições cruciais, sendo a principal delas você, o leitor e fã de Harry Potter. Embora pouca coisa esteja sendo confirmada por enquanto, me parece claro que, além de expandir a experiência que os fãs tiveram ao longos dos livros e filmes, Rowling vai dar espaço para os leitores se tornarem também escritores de sua franquia.
Isto é uma coisa que já acontece há bastante tempo na internet. Existem diversos sites especializados na produção e divulgação de conteúdo produzido por fãs de Harry Potter, onde cada um cria versões, personagens e histórias baseados no universo proposto pela autora.
A jogada é, além de saciar os fãs, unificar a produção de fan fiction de Harry Potter. O portal já se mostra extramente bem planejado. Ele será lançado em outubro de 2011. Mas alngus poucos sortudos poderão ter acesso e ajudar no desenvolvimento já no dia 31 de julho. Para isso, basta seguir a coruja. ;)
Pottermore trás inúmeras possibilidades para franquia, todas elas apoiadas pela consistência dos fãs.

But the author J.K. Rowling recently announced Harry Potter’s new transmedia action: the Pottermore portal.
At first, it’s a place where new elements will be revealed and added to the world’s most pop wizard’s universe. And if Paulo Coelho ever wishes to regain that post (which we find very improbable), he should start paying attention on what the author has to say in this video.
Pottermore is an online reading experience with crucial additions, the most important one being you, Harry Potter reader and fan. Although not much has been confirmed at this point, it seems obvious that, not only will the portal expand the experience fans had throughout the books and movies, Rowling will also give space to the readers so that they too can become authors in the franchise.
This has happened for a long time on the web. There are numerous websites specialized in the production and spreading of the content made by Harry Potter fans, where each person creates their own versions of the stories, new characters and new stories altogether based on what the author has offered us.
The catch is, not only will this fulfill the fans, this portal will unify Harry Potter fan fiction. The portal has already showed itself well planned. It will be launched October/2011. But some lucky ones will be able to access and contribute to the development of the portal starting July 31st. To be able to do that, all they have to do is follow the owl.
Pottermore brings numerous possibilities to the franchise, all those based on the fans consistency.
